	Welcome to the Frankton Model Shop Website. Established in 1947 when Alf Leong's interest in aeromodelling developed into a business. Alf was a founding member of the Hamilton Model Aero Club and was as awell-known identity in the aeromodelling fraternity. In a short period of time the Frankton Model Shop became an established name for model enthusiasts throughout New Zealand. In 1985, Geoff (Alf's son) returned to the family business and today the Frankton Model Shop is managed by Geoff and Nathan Toia who has been the Sales Consultant since 1991. Nathan is well-known as an R/C car enthusiast, has won numerous National titles and also represented New Zealand at the 1/8th Offroad World Championships Championships in Jarkata in 2006. He has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the model and hobby trade.
